Your air conditioner has a component called a condensate drain pan, which is where the condensation from the cooling process collects and is drained out. If the condensate pan overflows, however, or if there’s excessive humidity–which is pretty common in our area–the excess moisture can cause a number of problems for your cooling system and even your indoor air quality due to bacteria and mold development.
